How does Pest-Off Anti Mosquito Patch work?

Pest-Off Anti Mosquito Patch works like an invisible shield against mosquitoes. It is easy to use-just tear off the protective film and attach the adhesive side of the patch to your clothing, bags, tables, and to any surface near you (since 1 patch can already cover 3 meter radius!). The scent infused in the sticker patch contains Lemon Eucalyptus which is known as a natural and non-toxic ingredient in repelling mosquitoes.

Is it safe for babies and children?

MOST DEFINITELY! Pest-Off Anti Mosquito Patch is very safe because it does not contain harmful DEET chemicals. In fact, the mosquito patch can be placed on cribs, strollers, and it is ideal to use whenever babies and children are at play, in the garden, at school, or during activities like camping, fishing, and many more. The uses of Pest-Off Anti Mosquito Patch are not just for children's activities but it is also great for adults on the go!

What is DEET?

DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide) is an oily colorless chemical that is used in most insect repellents for mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, biting flies and chiggers. DEET basically jams the insect's sensors or interferes with their ability to smell people (more accurately, the CO2 that we breathe out) and confuses these insects so it is unable to land and bite the host successfully. It can be found in many formulations including lotions, creams, gels, and the like and it does reduce the risk of mosquito bites. However, products containing DEET are harmful when not used properly. Such bad effects may occur like disruption of central nervous system, kidney/liver damage, irritant, birth defects etc. Therefore, many scientists now have been studying and recommending the use of NATURAL-DEET FREE repellants such as eucalyptus, lemon mints, and citronella among others.

Why does mosquito hate eucalyptus and other menthol scent?

Believe it or not, mosquitoes generally hate the smell of "minty" scents because they strongly react on terpenoids, a compound which helps make up the distinctive aromas of eucalyptus, cloves, menthol and camphor. This further explains why natural mosquito repellents are more favorable than chemical DEET products.
